According to the NY Post, An insider said that producers of the hit Fox show say Howard Stern, who is America's highest-paid radio personality, is their top choice to take over from Simon Cowell, who leaves American Idol at the end of the season..

A source said, "It's one of the few shows that could compete with Stern's $100 million-a-year Sirius contract, and 'Idol' bosses think he'd be even nastier than Simon.

It would be interesting to see Howard Stern..but then again, how about a Brit to replace Simon Cowell.... or David Hasselhoff lol.
