Product Description:
"If we want to know God personally, to relate to Him intimately," says international evangelist Chè Ahn, "we must be prepared to receive and experience his glory." Born out of his personal experiences with numerous revival movements around the world, Ahn provides insights into the manifest presence of God--his glory--showing how it reveals both his character and his power.
But Ahn takes it deeper by exploring the ways God's glory is displayed. Ahn also discusses God's purposes for revealing his glory, how he uses it to make us one with him, how his glory calls us to holiness, and much more. An invaluable resource, this book will appeal to believers who are looking to go deeper with God and allow his glory to transform them.
momsword.org review:
Recently I was given the book When Heaven Comes Down by Ché Ahn. At first, I thought "oh great another preachy spiritual book and wasn't excited about reading this book. I put it away for a few days and when I found I had some time to read it, my view about this book quickly changed.
I finished reading this book during my toddler's nap time which was 2 hours. I couldn't put it down, it was that good. The author uses his personal experiences and then talks a bout how God has helped him. For example, on page 50, he talks about how he went to the movies, his jaw locked and prayed for it to unlock. It didn't happen, he then went to an Ear Nose and Throat (ENT) doctor and said he had TMJ and there was nothing he could really do except surgery.... which would be last resort. He went home and prayed and thanked God in the mirror for the next 18 months to GOD, and then one morning he yawned and the TMJ was gone. Then he wills say "you can trust HIM" and add Bible quotes.
This book makes me realize how thankful I am for who I am. There is a higher power out there, Christian ,Jewish ,Muslim or any religion, for that matter, you know there is a higher source and this book is good for everyone to read. It also made me realize to be thankful that God does a lot for me and the people around me. Like the other day when my toddler cut her mouth open (she was running and fell). I stayed calm as much as I could and me, not a religious person did cry out "God, please heal her". The next day I took her into her doctor's and guess what? The cut was almost healed. The doctor was a little stunned because she said that was a pretty deep cut. So I did thank God for that.
This is a good book for a Christian School and also good for readings at Sunday School. This was a fun little read and I was glad I read it.
